Cynthia S. Gillard
Cynthia S. Gillard, partner, advises businesses and their owners regarding
corporate and commercial matters, including business formation, regulation
and development, mergers and acquisitions, estate and succession planning,
employment and labor law and related business and commercial litigation.
Gillard has published articles on a variety of topics in Business Digest
and The Elkhart Truth Business Report. She has lectured on a number
of topics affecting the workplace, including the Family and Medical Leave
Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Avoiding Sexual Harassment Claims
in the Workplace, The Use of the Employee Stock Ownership Plans in Closely
Held Companies, Buying and Selling Closely Held Businesses, The Use of
Limited Liability Companies in Business Formation, and The Role of Organized
Labor in the Workplace. Gillard is past president of the Elkhart County
YWCA, past Chairman of the Board of the Elkhart Area Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Indiana State Board of Law
Examiners and a director of First State Bank.
