Timothy S. Shelly

Timothy S. Shelly, partner, advises businesses regarding corporate and commercial matters, including all aspects of litigation defense and management. He also advises numerous public school corporations on a variety of student, teacher, governance and administrative issues. He was an instructor of Paralegal Studies at Indiana University South Bend and has presented on several occasions at the Indiana School Boards Association annual school law seminar. He also regularly speaks to other professional and school administrator associations. He has served as president of Elkhart Noon Optimists, Concord Dollars for Scholars Foundation, the Elkhart Historic and Cultural Preservation Commission, as vice president of the Elkhart Community Soccer Association, and as a board member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Elkhart County and Child Abuse Prevention Services. He also served on the Ruthmere Museum Advisory Board. Presently, he is a board member for Indiana Landmarks, serving on its executive committee and chairing its strategic planning committee. He is also a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation board of advisors and board member of Downtown Elkhart, Inc. He is a contributing author for the upcoming book “Supreme Court Justices of Indiana: A Biographical Directory” to be published by the Indiana Historical Society.
